Laurie Rubin
The Art of Wildlife and Drone Photography

Laurie started out with a passion for taking photos of wildlife and zoo animals, searching for those special moments that bring an emotional response to the viewer. But 4 years ago, she discovered another world of photography from the air. Though she does not combine wildlife with drone photography, some of the same processes that she uses for one actually transfers to the other. Discover some tips on improving your wildlife images and the magic of using a flying tripod when you are 50 to 400 feet up in the air! Whether you are interested in capturing still photos or video, discover if this is another tool you should add to your photography gear.

Laurie Rubin is an international award-winning photographer, specializing in wildlife, zoo and aerial photography. She won 1st place in the Windland Smith Rice International awards with her print displayed in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Her passion for photography includes a career working for software companies such as Education Project Manager for Nik Software, Product Specialist for Google+ Photos, Senior Education Manager at Macphun Software, and Head of Education for ViewBug. She is one of the first Inception Masters for Trey Ratcliff’s Arcanum, and speaks at events and teaches workshops. She enjoys flying and taking aerial photos with her DJI Phantoms and is a DJI Expert on Skypixel.
